| QUOTE | Actor Kang Ji Hwan held a talk event sponsored by Lotte Duty Free Store SJ Agency,“One Day, Somewhere in Seoul,” on the 26th. Approximately 500 fans from Japan enjoyed their time with Kang Ji Hwan.
This event is the first fan meeting KJH held in Korea since he was chosen to be a Lotte Duty Free Store model, and it was also an event to commemorate the broadcasting of “Kang Ji Hwan’s One Day, Somewhere” on Mnet Japan from the 26th.
The event started with the showing of the first episode of “Kang Ji Hwan’s One Day, Somewhere,” and after that KJH made his appearance singing a song.
He talked about “Kang Ji Hwan’s One Day, Somewhere,” saying “I’d been to Japan several times, but not outside of work, and I wanted to know more about Japan, so I decided to take this project. I wanted to know every corner of Japan where my fans live.” This 2-week journey started in Hokkaido.
“I accepted this project because I wanted to show myself as I am, it was an adventure for me too, wondering about the fans’ reaction, how they would take it, but I really enjoyed it. So I want everyone to enjoy it too.” He also revealed that in the scene from the first episode where he backed off the cow he was milking that “It’s not that I was scared, it just caught me by surprise.”
In response to a fan’s question, he replied his favorite place in Seoul is “University Way. It’s a place I’m familiar with since I was doing musicals. There are small theaters and restaurants for the working class, and it reminds me of the old days.”
In response to “Which part of your body do you like the most?” he showed off his muscles on his exposed arms and replied “Arms,” and drew laughter from the fans.
Also, in response to when he was going to visit Japan again, he that he plans to visit Japan in December for “7 Grade Civil Servant” promotion. But before that “I might be able to go if I win the ‘Sky Perfect Award 2009’ in November.”
In regards to his future project, he said, “It’s been some time since I’ve had a project since “7 Grade”, but presently I’m in a recharge mode. In the meantime, I wanted to show a different side, so I did ‘One Day, Somewhere.’ I expect to start my next project sometime in the first part of next year.”
After the talk he sang “Itoshi no Ellie” and also showed a wild and sexy performance where he ripped his shirt. The 3-hour event ended with a group photo. |
